Description
O/S Boot Time out
• Disabled (Initial value)
• Enabled
Sets whether to enable or disable the boot monitoring
function when ServerView is installed.
When this function is enabled, the system will
automatically restart if the OS startup is stopped for
some reason.
Note:
`
The boot monitoring function can also be
enabled or disabled from ServerView.
`
If ServerView is not installed, be sure to set
this item to "Disabled". If "Enabled" is set, the
server may not operate as intended. For
example, the power may automatically turn
off, or the server may restart.
`
If ServerView is installed, be sure to disable
the boot monitoring function when starting up
the system by using PRIMERGY Startup Disc
or DOS floppy disk.
If the system is started with this function
enabled, the server may automatically turn off
or restart improperly.
If the server is operated with the boot
monitoring function enabled, enable this
function again before resuming operation.
`
When setting this function, make sure to read
"ServerView User's Guide" for its
specifications, operation, and settings.
