Chapter 6  Installing Internal Options

BIOS settings

The expansion ROM settings for PCI slot 3, 4 and 7 are disabled by default. When configuring the 
settings for expansion cards to be installed in those PCI slots, temporarily set "Enabled" for the 
expansion ROM in BIOS Setup Utility. Change the settings in accordance with the following 
procedures.

Start up BIOS Setup Utility.

Change the settings for expansion ROM.

Select the [Advanced] menu – the [PCI Configuration] submenu – [PCI SLOTS Configuration]. 
Change the setting of a PCI slot to be used from "Disabled" to "Enabled" for the menu item in 
[PCI Slot n Configuration Option ROM SCAN].

Save the changed settings, and exit BIOS Setup Utility.

Configure the settings for expansion cards during POST at next boot.

Start up BIOS Setup Utility again after the setting for expansion cards 
completes, and reset the changed settings in Step 2 to the initial value.

the outlet.
