14.7.2 Removing the defective system board

Remove all cables from the system board.
Ê
Remove the following components from the system board as shown in the
related sections:
– Heat sink: see
section "Removing processor heat sinks" on page 311

Leave the processor on the defective board for now.
– Memory modules: see section
"Removing memory modules" on
page 282

Ensure to take note of the memory modules’ mounting positions
for reassembly.
– Expansion cards: see section
"Removing expansion cards" on page 181

Ensure to take note of the controllers’ mounting positions and
cable connections for reassembly.
– UFM: see section
"Removing the UFM" on page 370
– DynamicLoM: module see section
"Removing the DynamicLoM module"
on page 260
or the three screws that are installed in place of the LoM
module.
