Installation Steps: Overview
In this chapter you will find an overview of the steps necessary to install your
server system. Links guide you to sections where you can find more detailed
information on the individual steps:

At first, please take notice of
chapter “Important Notes” on page 15
and
following.
Ê
Transport the server to the place where you want to set it up.
Ê
Unpack the system, check the contents of the package for visible transport
damage and check whether the delivery agrees with the details in the
delivery note (see
section “Unpacking the Server” on page 26
).
Ê
Make sure all necessary manuals (see
“Additional server documentation” on
page 6
) are available; possibly print of the PDF files.
Ê
Set up the server (see
section “Setting up the Server” on page 27
).
Ê
Cable the server. Please take note of the
section “Connecting Devices to the
Rack Model” on page 28
and the
section “Instructions: Connecting/discon-
necting wires” on page 30
.

Connect the system to the line voltage (see
