3.3 Preparing and Inspecting Over-tube and Balloon
WARNING
Use a sterilized balloon installation tool. Do not use the balloon or
Over-tube after its expiration date has elapsed. Doing so may pose an
infection risk.
Do not use the TS-13101 Over-tubes and BS-2 balloons on patients
allergic to latex. Doing so can create a risk of an anaphylactic reaction/
shock.
CAUTION
When attaching a balloon, take care not to apply excessive force to the
endoscope. The endoscope may be damaged.
[Note] Make sure water never enters the air feed inlet (clear tube) of the Over-tube. If
water enters the air feed inlet, deflate the balloon using a syringe, and then slowly
pull out the Over-tube along with the endoscope.
3.3.1 Preparing and Inspecting Necessary Equipment
Do not use the ST-01B fixing rubber setting tool (or ST-10
[Note]
) and ST-05B balloon setting
tool for purposes other than mounting the balloon.
[Note] The ST-10 fixing rubber setting tool is an optional item.

Prepare the Over-tube, balloon and fixing rubber to be
used.
[Note]
Use the compatible Over-tube (TS-13101) and balloons
(BS-2 and BS-4) with this product.
[Note]
Do not use the balloon, Over-tube, etc. after their
expiration date has elapsed.
