Endotherapy device
cannot be withdrawn.
1) The endotherapy device (such as biopsy
forceps) is left open.
2) The handle of the endotherapy device (such
as biopsy forceps) is held firmly.
3) The endotherapy device (such as biopsy
forceps) has difficulty being inserted due to
bending.
4) An abnormality occurs in the endotherapy
device.
5) Improper size is used.
1) Close the endotherapy device and pull it out
from the ultrasonic endoscope.
2) Loosen the grip and pull out the
endotherapy device from the ultrasonic
endoscope.
3) Reduce the angle of the bending section
slightly and then pull out the endotherapy
device from the ultrasonic endoscope.
4) Withdraw the tip of the endotherapy device
to the instrument channel outlet of the
ultrasonic endoscope, and then slowly
pull out the ultrasonic endoscope and
endotherapy device together.
5) Withdraw the tip of the endotherapy device
to the instrument channel outlet of the
ultrasonic endoscope, and then slowly
pull out the ultrasonic endoscope and
endotherapy device together.
[Note] Use an endotherapy device with an
appropriate size.
Endotherapy device
(such as biopsy
forceps) cannot be
closed.
An abnormality occurs in the endotherapy
device.
If it is difficult to close the endotherapy
device, return the bending angle of the
ultrasonic endoscope and pull it out upon
closing it. If it cannot be closed for some
reason, return the end of the endotherapy
device to the instrument channel outlet of the
ultrasonic endoscope, and then slowly pull
out the ultrasonic endoscope and endotherapy
device together.
Endotherapy device
(such as puncture
needle) cannot be
retracted into the
sheath.
An abnormality occurs in the endotherapy
device.
Pull back the end of the endotherapy device
until it no longer protrudes from the end of
the instrument channel outlet. In this state,
straighten the bending section of the ultrasonic
endoscope, and then draw in the needle again
to pull out the endotherapy device.
The ultrasonic endoscope may be causing
an air leak. Immediately perform primary
pre-cleaning and air leak test to check for any
abnormality.
