2.5.1 Forceps Valve
The forceps valve is provided without sterilization and must be cleaned and disinfected (or
sterilized) prior to use following the instructions of the Reprocessing Manual.

Forceps Valve
This portion is mounted on the instrument channel
inlet on the control portion, and prevents leak or
backflow of air when a puncture needle is used.
Ring
This portion is hooked onto the instrument
channel inlet on the ultrasonic endoscope.
<How to Use the Forceps Valve>
The forceps valve consists of a valve body and a lid. It
performs the function of preventing leak or backflow of
air. A lid should normally be kept closed.
When attaching the syringe to supply water or fluid,
remove this lid.
[Note]
When not using a puncture needle or syringe through the
instrument channel inlet, keep this lid closed.
