2.3 Nomenclature and Functions of Ultrasonic Endoscope
This product consists of the following parts.

Waterproof Cap
Shields the electric contacts from the
exposure to fluids.
Video Connector
Connects to the ultrasonic processor.
Lock Handle
Fixes the video connector to
the processor.
Interconnect Cable
Connects the video connector and
the LG connector.
US Connector
Connects to the ultrasonic
processor.
Index Mark
Indicates the
installing direction.
Lock Handle
Fixes the US connector to
the ultrasonic processor.
LG Flexible Portion
Contains the light guide,
air/water tube, suction tube and
cables.
LG Connector
Connects to the light source.
Air Supply Tube
Supplies air from the pump of the light source to the distal
end of the ultrasonic endoscope.
Light Incident Distal Face
Transmits the light from the lamp of the light source to
the distal end of the ultrasonic endoscope.
Suction Connector
Accepts the tube from the suction unit.
S Connector
Accepts the S-cord when using
electrosurgical instrument (electric cautery).
Water Feed Connector
Connects to the water tank.
Ventilation Connector
Connects to the air leak
tester or ventilation
adapter.
Light Guide Rod
Connects to the light source.
