CAUTION
Do not insert/pull out the puncture needle forcibly. Do not insert the
inner needle without the outer cylinder protruding from the instrument
channel outlet at the distal end. Do not insert the ultrasonic endoscope
with the inner puncture needle protruding from the outer cylinder. There
is a risk of damaging the ultrasonic endoscope or puncture needle.
If it is difficult to insert/pull out the puncture needle, lower the forceps
stand. Not doing so may cause damage to the ultrasonic endoscope or
puncture needle.
[Note] The bent puncture needle may not be within the ultrasonography area.
[Note] If the puncture needle is out of the ultrasonography area, it is not displayed on the
ultrasonic image.
[Note] Do not move or angulate the ultrasonic endoscope with the puncture needle
protruding from the instrument channel outlet. Before moving or angulating the
ultrasonic endoscope, be sure to pull the puncture needle back into the instrument
channel of the ultrasonic endoscope.
[Note] The puncture needle will be bent if it is inserted or pulled out with the bending
section of the ultrasonic endoscope bent. Straighten the bending section of the
ultrasonic endoscope when inserting or pulling out the puncture needle.
[Note] Follow the operation manual of the puncture needle when using it.
(1) Using the ultrasonic endoscope, check the area at which
puncture will be performed.
(2) Inject degassed water into the target area.
If the degassed water is difficult to accumulate, apply the
transducer at the distal end to the area to be punctured.
