Troubleshooting Fryers with Analog, Digital, or CM III Controllers
BURNER
WON'T LIGHT.
If unit is equipped with
built-in filtration, verify
the drain valve is fully
closed.
Verify that unit is plugged in
with main circuit breaker in
ON position. Verify gas
cutoff valve is open. Turn
unit OFF, then back ON.
Are any
panel lights
illuminated?
Is pilot lit?
Turn unit OFF and disconnect from
electrical power. Remove
controller and replace with one
known to be working. Reconnect
unit to electrical power. Turn unit
ON.
Did burner
light?
Probable cause is
defective
controller.
Order
replacement from
FASC.
Attempt to light
pilot (see Chapter
3, Section 3.1).
Did pilot
light and remain
lit?
Turn unit OFF,
then back ON.
Did burner
light?
Problem
resolved.
Turn unit OFF. Disconnect
gas line quick-disconnect
fitting and reconnect.
Attempt to light pilot (see
Chapter 3, Section 3.1).
Did pilot
light and remain
lit?
Problem is beyond
scope of operator
troubleshooting.
Call FASC or
Frymaster Service
