6. USEFUL TIPS IN CASE OF MALFUNCTIONS
Do not use the appliance when it is malfunctioning. First go through the following:
-The appliance doesn’t warm or the control lamp doesn’t light up:
o
Check if your appliance is connected to the right mains voltage, whether there is mains
voltage, and if the appliance was plugged in correctly.
o
Check the table 'Solving malfunctions'
=> If there is still a malfunctioning, please return the appliance to your sales point.
-If the power cord is damaged, don’t use your appliance and return it to your sales point immediately.

DEFECTS AND/OR DAMAGES FOLLOWING TO THE NON OBSERVANCE OF THE USER

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
A. Before moving, dismounting or cleaning the appliance:
1. Pull out the plug and switch off the appliance by means of the on-off switch.
2. Let the appliance cool off entirely (min. 45 min.) before removing the grillplate and the grease
tray.
3. If needed, fold in the control panel by means of the RELEASE button.
B. Dismounting the appliance
1. The appliance needs to be cooled off entirely.
2. Take the grillplate by the integrated handles and remove it from the base.
Attention: there could be some remaining liquid or grease at the backside of the grillplate.
Watch out not to place the grillplate on a liquid-sensitive surface.
3. Carefully remove the grease tray. Pour out the remaining liquid/grease.
4. Remove the temperature probe.
C. Cleaning the appliance
1. The appliance needs to be cooled off entirely.
2. Clean the grease tray in the sink with hot water and detergent.
Attention: Never use abrasives or oven cleaner to clean the appliance.
3. Clean the grillplate in the sink with hot water and detergent or in the dishwasher.
Tip: Remove excess or burnt-on leftovers from the grillplate with some paper towel.
4. Clean the base, the temperature probe and the power cord with a clean damp cloth.
Under no circumstances may these parts be immersed in water.
5. Dry all parts carefully and let them rest for about 1 h before assembling the appliance again.
D. Storing the appliance
1. Only store the appliance after it has been cleaned.
2. To move the appliance, take it with both hands by the base, not by the integrated handles !
3. Store the appliance in a frostfree, dry place, out of reach of children.
4. Place the aplliance on a steady,flat surface.
5. Do not put any objects on top the appliance.
6. Make sure the powercord or temperature probe is twisted or stuck. Loosely wind it around the
appliance.
7. The appliance may not be stored vertically.
