Leave at least 0,5 m free space around the appliance and 1 m free height in order to avoid damage
caused by grease splashes or heat and in order to work unhindered.
•
NEVER place the temperature probe or the power cord on the hot grill plate.

2. BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•
Check if the mains voltage of your appliance (230 Volt) corresponds with the mains voltage in your
home.
•
Remove all packaging and stickers.
•
Keep the packing material out of reach of children.
•
Check the appliance and power cord for possible damage. In that case, do NOT use the appliance
but return it to your sales point.
•
Clean the appliance as described under 'Cleaning and maintenance' (see point 7.)
•
All parts must be completely dry!
•
Always place the grease tray back first, the appliance is NOT to be used without!
•
Rub a bit of oil on the grill plate.
•
The appliance is now ready for use.
3. USE INSTRUCTIONS
A. Preparation
1. Let frozen food completely thaw first.
2. Pat moist food dry with some paper towels.
3. Remove any uneatable part of the food.
Attention: do not place any object under the support feet, as the appliance could shift or tilt over, with
the risk of burns or damage.
4. Place the grease tray on the base.
5. Place the grill plate on the base. There is only one way to do it right: make sure that the 2 pins on
the backside of the grill plate fit into the openings on the base.
6. If necessary, fold out the control panel (30°). Visibility will be increased.
7. Plug in the appliance. On the control panel, the pilot lamps 'PREHEAT' and 'READY' will light up
once. After that, the appliance will switch to standby mode, unless you press any button right
away.
B. Start grilling
1. Press the ON-OFF switch to switch on the appliance. The appliance automatically starts heating in
Standard Mode. The display shows '450°F' (232 °C), and the red 'PREHEAT' pilot lamp will light
up.
2. The standard temperature setting is Fahrenheit. Press the F/C button to switch to Celcius.
3. Press on the + and/or - button to set the desired grillplate temperature. As soon as the
temperature has been reached, the 'PREHEAT' pilot lamp will go out and the 'READY' pilot lamp
will light up. There will also be a sound signal. The appliance is now ready for use.
Attention: the min. temperature setting is 66°C, the max. temperature setting 232 °C. (see
temperature chart hereafter). If you keep the + or - button pressed for longer than 3 sec., the
temperature will automatically switch to 66°C (- button) or 232 °C (+ button).
4. Place the food on the grillplate. During the process, the temperature is automatically controled.
5. The temperature can be modified at all times by pressing the + and/or - button. After the new set
temperature has been reached, you will hear a sound signal.
