Ensure quick draining of the blood after completion of the stunning to
ensure the immediate and checkable strong loss of blood of the
animal
no later than 5 seconds if blood is drained in lying position;
no later than 10 – 15 seconds if blood is drained in hanging
position.

Position the rear electrodes carefully but with a firm pressure on the
back behind the heart of the animal.

Position the front electrodes on the animal’s head:
directly above the eyes and next to the ears
(green line, Fig.5-6).
cranially on the middle line between the ears for high current (red
line, Fig.5-6).
The signal lamp “Step1” lights up red and displays the currently
applied stun voltage and current.
As soon as the front and rear electrodes have been positioned in
contact and the measured body resistance of the animal corresponds
to the pre-set resistance in the electric stun machine, the stun process
is triggered and the current applied between both electrodes.
A horn signal sounds when the pre-set stun time has elapsed.
The
stun process is now finished and the stun current is switched off.
