PROBLEM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

WHAT TO DO?

Green „RESET“ button
lights are flashing 
steadily.

Fill cycle may have timed out
before proper weight was
achieved.

Press the “RESET” button to restart drum. Fill cycle will begin.

Frozen fries in the hopper have
formed a “bridge” over the drum.

Shake hopper and re-distribute fries to break up the bridge. Be gentle, to avoid 
breaking fries.

Unit won’t dispense 
and Err04 Error Mes-
sage has appeared in 
display

Hopper is empty.

Fill hopper with fries. Press the “RESET” button to restart drum. Fill cycle will begin.

A clump of fries may have bridged 
the hopper above the hopper rotor.

Break up any solid clumps of fries. If necessary, remove these fry clumps and 
replace with loose frozen fries. Press the “RESET” button.

Unit won’t dispense 
and Err02 or Err07 
Error Message has 
appeared

Dispensing systems has failed to
tare because of problem with the
hopper, chute or door assembly.

Disassemble and reassemble removable lane components. Remove any stray fries 
from hopper or chute. Press the “RESET” button

“LOW PRODUCT”
Message has appeared 
in display.

Hopper is getting low on fries.

Fill hopper with fries. Press the “RESET” button to restart drum. Fill cycle will begin.

Frozen fries in the hopper have
formed a void around the sensor.

Shake hopper and re-distribute fries to break up the void. Be gentle, to avoid break-
ing fries.

Lane is empty but 
Err04 Error Message 
did not appear.

Debris may be caught in the Low
Product sensor hole.

Remove any debris trapped in and around low product sensor.

Hopper may have shifted forward
on hanger.

Push hopper into freezer as far as it will go.

Basket loads are
consistently light or
heavy.

Orange silicone baffle is not
installed in hopper.

Remove product from hopper and install Baffle into hopper slot.

Product has fallen into bottom
area around chute.

Remove product from chute area to allow free movement of chute.

Silicon rubber load chute is not
installed properly.

Make sure right side of rubber chute with slot is seated over door right door shaft.

Chute door will not 
open
to allow product 
dispense.

Green (load) READY lights are
not on.

Wait until ready lights come on, product will dispense.

Basket was not pushed against
basket bump switch at back of
dispensing area.

Slide the fry basket against the bumper switch in back of the dispense area.

Basket rack is not installed
correctly.

Install basket rack so front and back guides straddle the two cross support bars and 
the rack is level and parallel with the floor.

“LOW PRODUCT” Message has
appeared in display.

Fill hopper with fries. Press the “RESET” button to restart drum. Fill cycle will begin.

Green “RESET” button lights are
flashing steadily.

Chute door will not 
close after product 
dispense.

Product may be caught in chute
door.

Clear obstruction to allow chute doors to close.

Chute door return spring may
have broken.

If doors can be closed by hand but will not stay closed, call Franke Service Hotline

Chute door sensor may have
failed.

If doors cannot be closed by hand, call Franke Service Hotline

Unable to change load
size using control 
panel.

Fill process has not completed.

When the green load ready lights are on and “READY” is on display, load size can be 
changed.

The unit is double dis-
pensing into a basket.

If a basket is staged in the
dispense position. If the basket
handle is then bumped, causing
the basket sensor to reset, a
second load of fries will be
dispensed.

Do not stage the basket in the dispense area at any time. Only dispense fries when 
ready to place them in the fryer. Dispensing ahead of time allows fries to thaw, 
affecting product quality. Use empty fry basket storage to left of filling lane or at 
bottom of unit.
