To cool the build chamber in the Fuse Sift:
1. Check the status of the build chamber on the touchscreen. If the build chamber graphic
and icon are highlighted red and the touchscreen displays the status
Hot
, allow the build
chamber to continue cooling before ejecting the cake.
2. When the touchscreen displays the status
Cool
, it is safe to recover and process your
printed parts.
Once the build chamber has been allowed ample time to cool down outside of the
print enclosure, parts can be removed using the Fuse Sift. For further instructions on
cooling the build chamber, unpacking a cake, and extracting parts, refer to section
5 Recovering powder and filling powder cartridges in the Fuse Sift manual or visit
support.formlabs.com.

During and between printing, you can track your printer’s usage, manage print jobs, and
prepare for future print jobs.
5.6.1
Registering on Dashboard
Dashboard (
formlabs.com/dashboard
) allows individuals and teams to remotely monitor
Formlabs devices, track material usage, and explore past and future Formlabs purchases.
Register the Fuse 1 to Dashboard through the touchscreen. Once the printer is registered
to Dashboard and
Dashboard Logging
is enabled on the printer, the Fuse 1 sends data to
Dashboard as long as the printer’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections are able to access the internet.

Starting an uploaded print
To start an uploaded print job on the touchscreen:
1. Confirm the build chamber, optical cassette, and required powder have been loaded into
the printer.
2. Tap the print job from the
Jobs
screen.

Deleting an uploaded print job
To delete an uploaded print job on the touchscreen:
1. Tap the print job from
Jobs
.
2. Tap
Delete
. If prompted, tap
Delete
again to confirm.

Turning off
The Fuse 1 is designed to remain powered on when not in use. Flip the breaker switch on the
back of the unit to the
OFF
position to turn off the machine completely and conserve power.
When moving or storing the machine, unplug the unit from its power source in addition to
flipping the breaker switch.
