2 Installing the communication configuration file
INFORMATION
•
In response to the prompt for restarting Windows, follow the instructions on the screen to
restart it.
•
Before installing, connecting the FOMA terminal to your PC may cause the OS to install the
driver automatically. In this case, install the communication configuration file again
according to the specified procedure.
•
When the "FOMA F2402

" screen is displayed, check the following.
- Check the OS of the PC used.
- Another device may be installed. In this case, install again after the installation of another
device currently is completed.
•
In case of Windows 98, it cannot be used when "!" mark is indicated to the icon of "FOMA
F2402 Command Port".
Perform the appropriate operation for your environment between the following two
operation.
• Disabling use of a PC Card Modem other than FOMA F2402.
1.
Remove a PC Card Modem other than FOMA F2402 from the PC.
2.
Remove FOMA F2402 from the PC once and connect it again.
• Disabling use of "Communication Port"
If you perform this, the equipment that is used at COM1 cannot use. When using
such equipment, perform the following Steps 1 and 2. In the Step 2, set to
for
"Disables it in this hardware profile", then click [OK].
