S register and non-volatile memory
S register
S register is something like a variable which sets FOMA terminal operations and indicates
FOMA terminal status. During operation, FOMA terminal changes the value of S register as
necessary. The value of S register can be displayed or changed using AT commands.

Non-volatile memory
FOMA terminal has a non-volatile memory which maintains various settings when the power is
off.
By storing the settings in the non-volatile memory, they are memorized even if the power of PC
to which the FOMA terminal is connected, or if the FOMA terminal is disconnected from the PC
card slot.
To restore the default settings of FOMA terminal and storing the settings in the non-volatile
memory, enter as follows.
