
Testing chain lubrication

Check the chain lubrication before each use.
1. Switch on the product (see “Switching on”)
and hold it above a bright background. The
product must not touch the ground. If an oil
trace can be seen, the product is working
trouble-free.
2. If no oil trace can be seen, clean the oil
passages of the guide bar

, in order to
guarantee a trouble-free, automatic oiling of
the saw chain

during operation. Use a
brush or a cloth to help remove residues from
the oiling port

This product has not been designed to
provide protection from electric shock in the
event of contact with overhead electric lines!
Therefore do not use product near cable,
electric power or telephone lines. Keep a
minimum distance of 10 m to all electric lines
(see Fig. F)!

the product is in operation.

Saw chain stop test
The product must always be held with two hands
when switching it on.
1. Hold the product with one hand on the
gripping surface

product off. The saw chain must come to a
stop.

Adjusting pole length
WARNING!

The length of the pole extension is limited!
Stop pushing / pulling as soon as you feel a
resistance!

Extend the extension only to the length
required to reach the hedges being cut! Do
not attempt to use the product at a length
which does not allow you to achieve proper
footing and balance at all times!

Harness
WARNING!

Always attach the product to the harness. Do
not carry it only with your hands!
The harness

helps the operator to carry the
product. Attach the harness onto the product
before each use.
1. Lift the product and hold it firmly while
placing the harness over your shoulder (see
Fig. H).
2. Ensure the position of the product is properly
balanced.
3. Adjust the length of the harness to the desired
position.
4. In case of emergency, release the on / off
switch

, press both latches on quick
release and then remove the harness

your shoulder.
