1.3 Connecting the CPV valve terminal
1.3.1 Connecting cable
Field bus cable

Use a 4−wire cable for the field bus connection as speci
fied for your control system. The bus interface and the
internal logic of the CPV valve terminal are supplied with
power via the field bus cable.
Load voltage supply
S
Use a 2−wire cable for supplying the load voltage to the
CPV valve terminal. Screening is not necessary.
Please note

You must refer to the PLC/IPC manual or the manual for
your bus interface in order to ascertain the type of field
bus cable which you should use. Take into account here
the distance and the baud rate.

Select the appropriate cross−sectional area and observe
the voltage drop:
on the supply cable (field bus cable) for the bus
interface/internal logic and
on the supply cable for the CPV valves.
