6.6 Lubricating the Lift
The lift is lubricated when constructed and should never
require lubrication.
If the lift does not operate smoothly, inspect it. If repairs
are needed, contact EMSAR (page 21) or your Ferno
distributor (page 22) for repairs.
Maintaining the Lift
6.5 Inspecting the Lift
Have your service technician check the following:
❑
Are all components present?
❑
Does the boom move up and down smoothly?
❑
Is the lift free of excessive wear?
❑
Do all moving parts operate smoothly and
properly?
❑
Do the wheel locks function properly?
❑
Are all four quick-release pins present in the
legs and boom?
❑
Does the handheld control function properly?
❑
Are the straps in good condition with no cuts or
frayed edges?
❑
Are all screws, nuts, and bolts present and
securely in place?
❑
Does the lift roll smoothly?
If inspection shows damage or excessive wear, remove
the lift from service until repair is made (see
Repair
Parts and Service,
page 21).
