BUS2 SYSTEM
BUS2 refers to the
2-wire, polarity-free
digital video door entry system designed by FERMAX ELECTRONICA. BUS2
ensures straightforward installation whilst offering excellent services, added value functions (bus relay, diagnostic tools,
etc.) and a good level of interference stability.
* 2-wire, polarity-free cabling systems
Door entry and B/W or colour video entry systems using a single 2-wire, polarity-free connection, which ensures
maximum simplification of the installation process: reduces installation times and prevents cabling errors.
* Quality and solidity: frequency transmission of multiplexed audio-video-data signals (FM)
The transmission of video entry system signals via frequency multiplexing provides the BUS2 system with:

immunity against interferences
: separate transmission bands outside interference bands. Filtration enables
the removal of the undesired signal.

immunity to fluctuations:
information is in the frequency, not the amplitude. Even though the signal loses power
as it flows through the cables, the quality of the information transported is not affected. No audio or data power
is lost through the cable distance.
* Easy start-up process
After cabling the BUS2 system, a simple programming procedure is carried out to assign a number (call number) to
each telephone or monitor. If the apartment has more than one telephone and/or monitor, these devices can be
programmed with the same number. In this case, all devices will ring when the apartment doorbell is rung.
* Up to 199 apartments with door control or video door entry
The BUS2 system can manage buildings with up to 199 apartments.
* One or two door or video door access points (entrances)
The BUS2 system enables up to two access points to be installed in the same building, with the possibility of
combining audio and video entry devices.
Concerning buildings with only one access point, adding a door entry or video door entry panel at a second access
point requires minimum installation.
* One central reception
In addition to the door entry/video door entry systems it is possible to install a desktop guard unit, which allows
communication between residence-guard unit, residence-entry panel and entry panel-guard unit.
* Added value functions
- BUS relay: The BUS2 system offers the possibility to activate relays connected to the BUS from the apartment
telephone/monitor (using the buttons F1, F2 for additional functions), without the need for any extra cable.
- Access control
: Through the numeral keypad, the Direct and Digital BUS2 systems include access control functions
using keypad codes (previously programmed using the keypad).
* Privacy (total secrecy) for conversations
Under no circumstances is it possible to listen in on any outside conversation established between another residence
and the entry panel or reception. The same applies for conversations between terminals installed in the same apartment.
As soon as a call is made to a telephone or monitor, the system operation for the remaining terminals is paralysed
(during a pre-established time). As a result, even when pressing the autostart button, it is not possible to see the
remote camera image or listen to the conversation of the other user until the pre-established time period has expired
or the receiver on the terminal called is replaced.
* Auto-Start
All monitors are equipped with an autostart button which can be used to connect with the entry panels at any time,
in order to view the image recorded by the remote camera and listen to sounds outside, providing that the system is
not being used by another monitor or telephone (privacy). In this case, upon pressing the autostart button, a ‘beep’
noise will be heard as confirmation that the channel is engaged.
* Programming lock-release time
The BUS2 system allows the lock-release time to be set between 1 and 99 seconds.
* Simple extensions Possibility of connecting various pieces of equipment in each residence
Various monitors and/or telephones can easily be installed in the same apartment:
with only 2 wires.
* Easy extension with MDS-BUS2 system
Enclosures with various exterior access points (MDS) to different interior blocks (BUS2) can be created quickly and

* BUS2 system verifier
The BUS2 system is equipped with a programming tool and installation tester to programme telephones/monitors,
verify the system status, etc..
