* Programming the MDS/BUS2 decoder from MDS Direct reception.
The MDS/BUS2 decoder requires simple programming to enable the MDS Direct Central Reception to receive and
make calls.
Below, the steps to be followed to programme the decoder from the reception are detailed:
1. Go into configuration mode .
Using the reception keypad, enter the following sequence:

2. Select option 3-Decoders -> 1- Pr. Individual

0000 : if the residence terminals are programmed from the BUS2 panel.
FFFF : if the residence terminals are programmed from the reception/MDS panel.
(press the ‘A’ key to introduce the letter ‘F’).

4. Enter the initial residence address.

5. Enter the final residence address.
6. Select the programming mode for the residence terminals.

Do not modify. Leave telephone 4 as: FFFF.
8. Exit programming
Examples (see note) :
a) BUS2 system with 1 block of 24 residences
* Residences 1 to 24
- Initial address: 0001
- Final address: 0024
b) BUS2 system with 1 block of 112 residences
* Residences 1 to 112
- Initial address: 0001
- Final address: 0112
Note: The combination of MDS/BUS2 systems enables the creation of systems with multiple BUS2 interior blocks and
MDS general entrance (various panels or reception).
In this type of system, the allocation of initial and final addresses differs from the process described here. For more
information on the combination of MDS and BUS2 systems, please consult the ‘MDS/BUS2 Technical Manual’.
