Mark and unsolder the connecting wires from PC board (400).
D.
Removing "Logic" PC board (240)
-
Remove 4 screws (410) and associated washers (420) and free the assembly consisting of
"Display" PC board (400) and "Logic" PC board (240) from face panel (130).
-
Separate "Logic" PC board (240) from "Display" PC board (400) by removing
4 screws (250) and associated washers (260).
-
Mark and unsolder the connecting wires from PC board (240).

Removing battery (See IPL, figure 4)

Unsolder the connecting wire from the contact (80).

Remove the two screws (40) and washers (50).
-
Remove the leafspring (30).
-
Remove the battery (120) from the support (110).

After Amendment D
-
Disconnect the battery male micronector from the female micronector (122) using the
T5746F separator tool.
-
Remove the screws (125) and lockwashers (126).
-
Remove the battery subassembly (124) from the support (127).

Removing the face panel and associated controls and lighting devices
-
To remove the face panel controls, separate face panel (130) from front support plate (580) by
removing 4 screws (110) and knob (70).

To remove potentiometer (440), mark and unsolder the connecting wires, then remove the nut,
the washer and spacer (450).
-
To remove switch S4 (480), remove the attaching parts of "Power supply" PC board (190) and
tilt the board to the side. Mark and unsolder the connecting wires and remove the nuts and both
washers.

To remove switch S3 (470), mark and unsolder the connecting wires, then remove the nut and
the toothed washer.

To remove indicator light support (490), mark and unsolder the connecting wires, then remove
spacer (510) and the light cap and retain the indicator light.
