TESTING AND TROUBLE SHOOTING

TESTS
A.
Equipment required
-
An LF generator.
-
Two decade resistance boxes.
-
A 28 V DC power source, 1 A.
-
A pulse counter.
-
A 100 mV - 30 V DC voltmeter, class 0.5 or 1.
-
Seven SPST switches (P/N 744-082)
-
Six SPST switches (P/N 744-082-3)
-
An ohmmeter.
If necessary, connect a frequency meter and an AC voltmeter in parallel to the LF generator if the
generator does not give accurate voltage and frequency readings.
B.
Procedure (See figure 101)
(1)
Continuity test
-
Using the ohmmeter, check that :
-
pins D and J are connected,
-
pins C and H are connected,
-
pins E and L are connected (P/N 744-082 only),
-
pins E and T are connected (P/N 744-082-3 only),
-
pin T is connected to the casing ground.
-
Prepare the test setup shown in figure 101.

Check that the module operates correctly by closing switches I
