Chapter 2: Setting up the Quantum

Slide the probe onto the end of the Quantum. Rotate the probe until the
marks on the probe and the handle match.
3.
Close the probe locking lever.
Before measuring with the Quantum the probe must be compensated. Use the
Probes
command in your measuring software, to set up and compensate the
probe.

OTE
: All FARO i-Probes have a unique serial number. After compensating
an i-Probe, the compensation information stores on your computer. If you
remove the i-Probe and reinstall it later, the Quantum automatically loads the
compensation data.
