INSTRUCTIONS
DESCRIPTION OF SMART FEED SYSTEM
Farmi Smart Feed –control controls the rota-
ting speed of chipper’s knife disc. Rotating
speed varies during chipping, depending on
load. Smart Feed controls feeding and rever-
sing on the basis of rotating speed information.
By controlling the feed rollers Smart Feed aims
to keep knife disc rotating speed as constant
as possible. Reduction of variation on rotating
speed reduces fuel consumption of a tractor
or a combustion engine. As a result of more
constant rotating speed a more stable chip
quality and more efficient discharging is
achieved. Smart Feed –system works comple-
tely automatically, without users need to adjust
the control system settings.
COMPONENTS OF SMART FEED SYSTEM
1. Plug 3 pole, DIN 9680
2. Emergency stop push button
3. Control box, which contains feed selector
switch and signal light
4. Feed roller pressure sensor
5. Knife disc rotating speed sensor
6. Smart Feed control module
