LIFTING
Lifting points for each
machine are marked with
hook symbols.
1. Lift only using the proper type of lifting
device and ensure that it has an appro-
priate lifting capacity.
2. Check the lifting slings, cables, and chains
regularly.
3. Ensure that you know the weight of the
load to be lifted and never exceed the lif-
ting capacity stated by the manufacturer of
the lifting device.
4. Select the transport routes for lifting so
that the load is not transported over peop-
le or a location where people might be.

LIFTING THE DISCHARGE PIPE WITH THE
WINCH
The winch on the chipper’s
upper housing is only
intended for use in lifting
and lowering the discharge
pipe.
Exercise caution when using the winch.
When the winch is under load, maintain a
firm grip on the crank - do not let go. If the
crank handle is left unlocked, the crank can
begin to spin uncontrollably and cause injury.
Lock the discharge pipe rotation before lif-
ting or lowering it. The pipe must always be
rotated so that the winch hook anchor point
is directly facing the winch, i.e. the pipe must
be facing straight out to the side. Otherwise,
it will not be safe to lift.
