WARRANTY
Failure by the customer to fully comply with the
conditions of the warranty relieves
FANTIC MO-
TOR
from all liability or duty under this agree-
ment.
The terms and conditions of this warranty may
not be changed by any person or company with-
out the prior written permission of FANTIC MO-
TOR.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The warranty period starts on the day of deliv-
ery of the vehicle through an authorised
FAN-
TIC MOTOR
dealer to the end buyer; the date
of the document of sale (transport document or
invoice) will be proof thereof.
The warranty period is 12 months with unlim-
ited mileage (except models COMPETIZIONE
and
COMPETIZIONE RACING).
Any defects must be reported to an authorised
FANTIC MOTOR
dealer within the warranty pe-
riod. If the last day of the warranty period falls
on a Sunday or a holiday, the next working day is
considered the last day of the warranty period.
All the vehicles manufactured by
FANTIC MO-
TOR
are guaranteed free of faulty materials and
workmanship for the warranty period indicated
in the certificate of receipt without limitation of
mileage or hours of service.
- Just one copy of this handbook is issued
for each vehicle. Loss of the handbook en-
tails loss of right to the warranty.
- The warranty only covers the costs of re-
placed parts that are defective due to
faulty workmanship and of relative la-
bour.
- If it is discovered during repairs that the
requested work is not among those cov-
ered by the warranty, the cost incurred up
to then shall be fully paid by the vehicle
owner.
CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
FANTIC MOTOR
reserves the right to refuse to
fulfil recourse on warranty if:
a) the vehicle has not been submitted to the
scheduled periodic controls and checks dur-
ing the warranty period; the customer shall,
for this purpose, keep the servicing coupons
attached to this handbook that have been
fully completed and stamped by the Dealer
as proof of the effective controls carried out
on the vehicle.
Failure to produce the servicing coupons
shall render the warranty null and void!
b) inspections, maintenance and repairs have
been carried out by an unauthorised repair
shop or one not recognised by
FANTIC MO-
TOR
or have not been carried out in conform-
ity with the manufacturer’s technical require-
ments, norms and instructions or using other
than original
FANTIC MOTOR
spare parts.
c) the vehicles have been changed or altered in
any way with or without the use of original
FANTIC MOTOR
parts. Only cases in which
the damage has not been caused by such
parts and accessories are excepted.
d) fuels, lubricants or technical liquids (also
cleaning products) that do not comply with
the specifications indicated in the handbook
have been used on the vehicle.
e) the vehicle has been transported or kept in
an inadequate manner.
f) the vehicle has been used as a test or dem-
onstration vehicle.
g) the vehicle has been used in any competi-
tion, race of any kind, speed trial, long-dis-
tance and reliability trials, or any vehicle that
has been subjected to misuse.
EXCLUSIONS FROM THE WARRANTY
The following are excluded from the warranty.
a) Cracks, breakage or damage due to overheat-
ing, freezing, rust or corrosion from external
causes such as impact by stones, snow salt,
industrial exhaust gases and other environ-
mental conditions, or due to inappropriate
cleaning or use of unsuitable products;
b) Signs of ageing, such as fading of surface col-
ours.
c) Parts that are not original or not approved by
FANTIC MOTOR
.
d) Faults consequent to breakage or deteriora-
tion due purely to wear.
e) Wear parts, in particular spark plugs and
nipples/caps, battery, petrol filters, oil fil-
ter, gearing chains, ring gears, sprockets, air
filter, brake disks, brake pads, clutch disks,
light bulbs, fuses, footrest rubber, belts, tyres,
inner tubes, hoses, control cables and other
rubber parts.
f) Consumables and working materials, such
as: fuel additives, coolants, antifreeze, hy-
draulic fluids, battery electrolyte, greases and
lubricants.
g) Inspections and adjustments or other peri-
odic maintenance work as well as all clean-
