When hoisting, the cables shall be capable of taking the weight of the hoisted equipment
(see Table4-1 for the weight of equipment) and not be too short in order to avoid any
damage to the equipment. The angle between every two cables is not necessarily equal to
60°. Actually an angle less than 60°is better, but it requires a much longer rope.The bearing
capacity of the hoisting equipment shall be bigger than the 1.2 times of the equipment
weight to be hoisted.
