3.
OPERATION WITH 8010/20/25/30 CNC
This operating mode is designed to work with the 8010, 8020, 8025 and 8030 family
CNCs. The possible functions from the CNC are the following:
- Directory request
- Send a program
- Receive a program
- Delete a program
- Format the floppy disk to 720Kb (double density) or 1.44Mb (high density).
Atention:
With the current CNC version it is not possible to format diskettes.
Therefore, they must be formatted at a PC or purchased previously
formatted.
In order to operate at the baudrates indicated in the configuration table, it is necessary to
set the following parameters at the CNCs:
8010 MILL
P101 (BIT 4) = 1
8010 LATHE
P99 (BIT 6) = 1
8020 MILL
P121 (BIT 4) = 1
8020 LATHE
P99 (BIT 6) = 1
8020 PUNCH
P121 (BIT 4) = 1
8025 MILL
P607 (BIT 4) = 1
8025 LATHE
P605 (BIT 6) = 1
8025 PUNCH
P607 (BIT 4) = 1
8030 MILL
P607 (BIT 4) = 1
8030 LATHE
P605 (BIT 6) = 1
8030 PUNCH
P607 (BIT 4) = 1
The parameters above validate those of the RS-232 serial port:
P0
Baudrate ................. As set by the DIP-SWITCHES
P1
DATA bits .............. 8 Bits
P2
Parity ...................... 0 (no parity)
P3
Stop bits .................. 1
