PREPARING THE UNIT
Unpacking and completing the assembly should be
done on a flat and stable surface, with enough space
for moving the machine and its packaging, always
making use of suitable equipment.
Battery

remove the battery, press the battery release knob
(Fig. 8.1) and holding it in position slide the battery
out of its housing on the machine.
NOTE
The battery is equipped with an overload/overheat pro
-
tection system that cuts off power to the machine in
case it is operated in a manner that causes it to draw an
abnormally high current and/or rise in battery tempe
-
rature. In case the protection system is engaged, stop
the application that has caused this and turn off the ma
-
chine immediately. Let the battery cool before trying
to use the machine again. If the machine still does not
start, visit an authorized service station.

4. Remove the hex bolt (Fig. 11.1), outer flange (Fig.
11.2), blade (Fig. 11.3) and inner flange (Fig. 11.4).
To install the blade:

alignment and proper rotation.
WARNING
This machine is equipped with an electric blade brake. If
the machine consistently fails to quickly stop the blade
after operation lever is released, have it serviced at an
authorized service center.
OPERATING THE UNIT
WARNING
For your own safety, keep the machine switch in off
position while performing any of the below adjusting
procedures. Machine should be turned on, only if a spe
-
cific step of the procedure states so and only for that
particular step.
Cutting depth adjustment
To adjust the cutting depth:
1. Loosen the cutting depth adjusting lever (Fig.
12.1).
2. Move the base (Fig. 12.2) up or down.
3.
At the desired depth of cut, secure the base by
tightening the lever (Fig. 13).
NOTE
For cleaner and safer cuts, set the cutting depth so
that no more than one blade tooth projects below
work piece.
Cutting angle adjustment
To adjust the cutting angle:
1. Loosen the cutting angle adjusting lever (Fig.
14.1).
2. Move the base up or down (Fig. 15.2).
3.
At the desired angle of cut, secure the base by ti-
ghtening the lever (Fig. 15.1).
NOTE
For straight cuts, align the 0° position on the front of
the base with your cutting line (Fig. 16.1). For 45° bevel
cuts, align the 45° position on the front of the base with
your cutting line (Fig. 16.2).
