Connecting to PCS
The Extron Product Configuration Software window opens with the
Device Discovery
panel open. Connect to the switcher using the
Device Discovery
panel (see figure 19) or
the
TCP/IP
panel (see
figure 21
on page 26).
Device Discover Panel
The Device Discovery panel displays accessible Extron devices connected directly to the
PC or to a LAN. Devices are identified and sorted by model, IP address, device name, or
connection method.
1. Open the Product Configuration Software program from the desktop shortcut.
The Extron PCS window opens to the
Device Discovery
panel (see figure 19).

2. Select the DTP2 R 212 device by clicking it to highlight it in the list (

).
3. Click Connect (

To edit the IP address:
1. Click on the Edit button (

). The
Communication Settings box pens.
2. Click in the field to edit the address (see
figure 20) .

Click Apply to complete and close.
Alternatively, click Apply and Connect
to complete and connect to the device.
Click
Cancel to close the box without
changes.
