Installing and Starting the Control Programs
The following programs are available on the Extron website:
Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Configurator program
—
Required for full operation of switcher DSP functions. It also
provides some limited control of the switcher non-DSP functions.

Product Configuration Software (PCS)
— Conigures the video
functions of the switcher, including creating video and audio ties
saving logos. Also provides control of audio line input gain and
attenuation, output attenuation and muting, audio input format
(analog, digital, or auto), and output audio source (DSP or original
[embedded]).
Run either program from a Windows-based computer connected
to an Ethernet port (

on page 16) on the switcher.

The DSP Conigurator program has a software switch that
allows you to lock out audio adjustments in the Product
Coniguration Software, making them unavailable for
selection.
Installing the programs
For the 10x8 and 8x6 models, the DSP Conigurator, version 2.11
or newer, and PCS, version 3.4 or newer are available on the
Extron website (the 8x4 and 8x2 models require newer versions,
not yet identiied). Download and install both programs as follows:
