Removing and Installing a Fan
The
DMS
1600
has
a
single
fan
module.
The
DMS
3600
has
two
identical
fan
modules.
The
fan
modules
are
hot-swappable.
If
a
fan
fails,
it
should
be
replaced
at
the
earliest
opportunit
y
.
NOTE:
The
fans
modules
are
hot-swappable.
Either
fan
can
be
removed
or
installed
without
powering
down
the
switcher.
1.
Remove
and
retain
the
two
screws
that
secure
the
row
identification
plate
(identif
y
ing
the
rows
of
the
adjacent
DVI
input
and
output
connectors
)
to
the
fan.
Retain
the
plate.
2.
Rotate
the
top
and
bottom
knurled
knobs
to
completel
y
loosen
the
captive
screws
(see
the
figure
below
)
.
Align the fan
module edges with
the plastic guides.
