As indicated earlier, Extreme Home Arcades machines use a “back-end” system – Microsoft
Windows (see photo of Windows – Desktop and Windows File Explorer), to control the many
complicated computer functions that it takes to run the emulators and games. In this section we
will introduce the back-end Windows interface to you in a little more detail.
A. Back End Windows Commands
a.
Getting to the Windows Start Bar Menu –
From HyperSpin, you can go to the Windows Start
Bar Menu by holding Down P1’s START Button
/OR “Shazaam” button
and then pushing P2’s
Joystick UP – this will bring up the Windows Start Bar Menu (see photo). This is your first look
behind HyperSpin and at Windows. You can do a number of things from the Windows Start Bar
(see below). If you want to scroll down the list of available programs, point with the Trackball at
the vertical scroll bar (see photo) and push the LEFT AUX Mouse Button and push the Trackball
down. If you want to go back to HyperSpin, make sure the AUX Switch is Right, point with the
Trackball outside of the Windows Start Bar (on to the HyperSpin part of the screen) and then
press the right AUX mouse button. This will close the Windows Start Bar.
