d. Exiting a Game at Any Time
– To exit a game at any time Hold Down P1’s START button
/OR
“Shazaam” button
and then push P2’s START Button. Under most circumstances, executing this
command will take you back to a HyperSpin game menu. For example, if you are in the middle
of a game and wish to leave, simply execute this command and you will immediately leave the
game and be back at a HyperSpin menu. Occasionally, this command may not work. If the
system freezes, simply shut down the machine following the commands in this section and
restart it.
e.
To Pause a Game –
If you are playing a game and you want to pause it
HOLD DOWN P1’s START
Button
/OR “Shazaam” button
and then press DOWN on P1’s Joystick.
The game will immediately
pause. To resume game, repeat the same command. The game will resume exactly where you left off.
f. To Restart a Game –
If you are playing a game and you want to start the game completely over,
push LEFT on P1’s Joystick and then Press P1’s START Button.
The game will reset and you will go back
to the main menu where you can restart the game. This is helpful for example if you get off to a bad
start in a game and just want to start over or, if in a new session you load a game you played at a
previous time and the old game is brought up, you can execute this command and start a new game.
g. Accessing the Player Menu
– To access the Player Menu (see photo)
HOLD DOWN P1’s START
Butto/OR “Shazaam” buttonn and then Push RIGHT
on P1’s Joystick.
The Player Menu is extremely
helpful. It allows you to see technical information
about the game, see game cheats and other
information, but most importantly it allows you to
remap the game’s controls.
You can remap fire
buttons, remap joystick controls, change a game so it
is controlled by a steering wheel, flight stick or an
Xbox/PlayStation type controller, etc.
Remapping joysticks, etc. is covered in detail later in
the manual.
A critical thing to remember is that you
should never change the selection “Input (general).”
This globally changes ALL games on your arcade
machine. When you go to remap a game, always select “
Input (this Machine)”
(see photo). This
will only remap the current game and not all of the games on your machine. This distinction
cannot be overstated. Again, when you remap a game ALWAYS select “Input (this Machine).”
To
select “Input (this Machine)” use the P1”s Joystick to navigate to it and then push P1’s START
Button.
