After charging, first disconnect the charger

from the el. power source

 and then, after pressing

and holding down the button on the battery, slide the
battery out of the grooves in the charger.

V. Using the compressor

MEASURING AND INCREASING

THE PRESSURE IN TYRES

1.  Insert a charged battery into the power tool accor-

ding to fig. 1, so that the battery button clicks in.
After inserting the battery, the display will be lit and
the power tool will be in active mode. If not, press
the pressure unit setting button (fig. 1, position 13),
which should result in the display being lit and the
power tool will be in active mode.

2.  Press the pressure unit setting button (fig. 1, position

13) to set the required pressure measuring unit (bar,
PSI or kPa).

3.  After tilting open the valve connector lever (fig. 1,

position 5) of the air hose, securely put the valve
connector on to the tyre valve, whilst exerting appro-
priate force. Then tilt down the valve connector lever,
whereby air will not escape (if yes, the valve connector
is not correctly seated on the valve) and the display
will show the current pressure inside the tyre.

4.  If necessary, increase the pressure using the „+“

button to the required pressure value.

ATTENTION

y

For safety reasons, tyres must be inflated to their
prescribed pressure.

y

For filling with a larger volume of air, the battery
should be sufficiently charged.

y

The capacity of the battery significantly dec-

lines during sub-zero or high temperatures

(above 50°C), which manifests itself in lower

power of the compressor and this damages

the battery, and for this reason do not leave

the compressor in the vehicle during freezing

or hot weather.

5.  Slide the trigger safety mechanism upwards (fig. 2,

step 1.), which will unlock the trigger, then press the
trigger (fig. 2, step 2), which will start the compressor.

After releasing the trigger, the trigger will be secured in
the pressed position. The compressor will automatically
stop inflating when the preset pressure is reached.

Fig. 2

2.

1.

y

In the event that it is necessary to immediately stop
the compressor, set the trigger safety mechanism
downwards and release the trigger, which will turn
off the compressor.

y

In the event that it is necessary to reduce the
pressure in the tyre, tilt open the valve connector
lever on the hose, which will result in air leaking
out from the tyre valve and then tilt the lever down
again and measure the current pressure, and if
necessary add additional air as described above.

6.  To remove the air hose from the tyre valve, first tilt

open the valve connector lever and then immediately
remove the valve connector from the tyre valve to
prevent large air losses.

7.  To protect the valve against damage, screw the cap

back on to the tyre valve.

INFLATING MATTRESSES, BALLS, ETC.

1.  Tilt open the valve connector lever (fig. 1, position 5)

and insert the accessory inflating adapter (fig. 1, posi-
tion 9) into the connector, based on the type of valve.
To inflate objects via the mouth inflation valve, insert
the universal valve adapter into the valve connector
of the compressor air hose, to inflate sports balls,
insert the thin metal adapter, to inflate tyre tubes
insert the tyre adapter.

2.  To secure the inflation adapter in the valve connector,

tilt down the valve connector lever.

WARNING

y

Prior to preparing the power tool for use, carefully read
the entire user‘s manual and keep it with the product so
that the user can become acquainted with it. If you lend or
sell the product to somebody, include this user‘s manual
with it. Prevent this user‘s manual from being damaged.
The manufacturer takes no responsibility for damages or
injuries arising from use that is in contradiction to this user‘s
manual. Before using this appliance, first acquaint yourself
with all the control elements and parts as well as how to
turn it off immediately in the event of a dangerous situation
arising. Before using, first check that all parts are firmly
attached and check that no part of the tool, such as for
example safety protective elements, is damaged or inco-
rrectly installed, or missing. Likewise, check the protective
cover and DC connectors of the battery and the charger, and
also check that the power cord or plug of the charger is not
damaged. Do not use the cordless power tool, battery, char-
ger with damaged or missing parts and have this repaired
or replaced at an authorised service centre for the Extol®
brand - see chapter Servicing and maintenance, or the web-
site address at the introduction to this user‘s manual.

IV. Charging the battery

y

To check the battery power level, press the button on
the battery and based on the number of lit diodes and
the expected duration of operation of the cordless com-
pressor, charge the battery if necessary. If the battery is
fully charged, all the LED diodes are lit. The battery can
be charged from any charge level without reducing its
capacity. For inflating objects where a larger amount
of air is required, e.g. inflatable mattresses, we reco-
mmend that the battery is fully charged.

ATTENTION

y

Charge the battery at an ambient temperature range
of 10°C-40°C.

a)  First insert the battery into the grooves of the

supplied charger.

b)  Before connecting the charger to the power

source, check that the voltage in the power soc-

ket corresponds to the range 220-240~50 Hz and

that the charger does not have a damaged power

cord (e.g. insulation), cover, charger connectors,

etc. Likewise, check the condition of the battery.

WARNING

y

If the charger or battery is damaged, have it repla-
ced with an original in perfect working order from
the manufacturer. Only the original charger from
the manufacturer may be used for charging the
battery, otherwise using a different charger may
cause a fire or explosion as a result of inappropriate
charging parameters. Protect the power cord of the
charger against damage.

c)

Connect the charger to an el. power source.

d)  On charger

Extol® Premium 8891893NZ

 (model

with a charging current of 2.4 A), the charging process
is indicated by a green flashing diode with a red lit
diode, whilst a fully charged battery is indicated by only
a green lit indicator light. On charger

Extol® Premium

8891892NZ

(model with a charging current of 4 A) the

charging process is indicated only by a red lit LED indica-
tor light and the fully charged process by only a green lit
LED indicator light. The battery charge level can be seen
by the number of lit LED indicator lights on the battery,
which are lit while the battery is charging. The manu-
facturer reserves the right to modify the above-described
indication of the charging and charged process.
