Ping Test
Ping Test
The Ping test (applicable to the LAN and Test ports) provides the ability to
generate ICMP Echo Requests and provides statistics on the ICMP Echo
Replies received in response to the ICMP Echo Request. ICMP Echo Replies
are expected on the same interface on which the ICMP Echo Requests
were sent.
The Ping test is always enabled, even during software upgrades on the Test
port.
The following table lists the Ping test parameters and default values where
applicable.
The Ping test returns the following statistics:
Number of packets transmitted.
Number of packets received.
Percentage of packet loss.
Round-trip time (rtt) in ms (minimum, average, maximum, and
standard deviation values).
