inside. Push the card into the slot until it is completely inserted into the connector. If
facing great resistance, do not push the card with force. Examine the card direction
and try again.
This computer could identify most of the PC cards and could automatically load
appropriate device driver. If the configuration program prompts to load the driver of
the manufacturer, you may use the equipped floppy disk or CD.
3. Remove the PC Card
Adopt the following procedures when removing the PC card:
1) Press the release bolt to make it pop up.
2) Press the bolt again to pop out the card.
3) Remove the card.
Before removing the PC card, please stop operating the card from Configuration the
Utility Program on taskbar. Otherwise, it may cause data loss.
If the card is connected with cable, do not pull the cable when removing the PC card.
Some PC cards do not support hot-swap. Therefore, before using the PC card, please
refer to the attached instructions.
External Express Card Device
The advantages of the Express Card are its small size and fast transmission speed; it
is more adaptable to mobile system; it also supports USB 2.0 and PCI EXPRESS
interface. Wherein, the size of ExpressCard/34 standard card is only half of the PC
card, which is suitable for connecting with PC card in mobile devices;
ExpressCard/54 standard cards are used to support cards with larger size, including
SMARTCARD reader, CF card reader, 1.8 ″ hard disk driver and so on.
ExpressCard/34 standard card of smaller size could be used to provide sufficient
power and heat dissipation with less occupied space; therefore, it possesses wider
application fields including wired or wireless communication, various flash memory
cards, mini-optical memories or magnetic memories (one inch), security IC card and
