If you raise the presser foot lifter further and raise the
foot further one step, you can easily sew a thick cloth.
1. Raise the presser foot.
2. Push the lock button located on the right side of
regular foot and lower the foot.
3.
Start sewing.
As presser foot hinge is locked, fabric will be fed
smoothly.
As sewing progresses, it will be unlocked
automatically.
1.
Stop the machine when you reach a corner.
2.
Lower the needle into the fabric by:
Pressing the needle up/down button or turning hand
wheel toward you.
If you lower the needle by pressing the button, the
needle stop position will be downward after that.
3. Raise the presser foot.
Use the needle as a pivot, turn fabric and set toward
you want to sew.
4.
Lower the presser foot and resume sewing.

When sewing heavy fabrics, the toe end of presser foot
tends to lift up and sewing cannot be started smoothly.
In such case, set as follows.
