Interior Equipment
Aft Berth
The aft berth compartment is located behind the
cabin steps. Lighting is provided by recessed 12-
volt lights in the headliner that are activated by a
switch in the cabin switch panel. Additional light
and ventilation is provided by an opening window
on the port side of the aft berth. Access to the
cabin bilge, holding tank and thru-hull seacock
valve is located below the berth.
The batteries, battery switches, relays, main DC
circuit breakers and the battery charger are lo-
cated in the rear of the aft berth compartment.
Large hatches in the rear of the head liner and
in the rear bulkhead provide access to inside of
the helm.
The air conditioner, carbon monoxide detector and
an access door are located on the starboard side.
The cabin fuse panels and power steering pump
are among the equipment located in the compart-
ment accessed through the door.
Carbon Monoxide Detector
A carbon monoxide (CO) detector/alarm is in-
stalled on the starboard aft berth wall. The detec-
tor is always activated when the house batteries
are connected and is protected by a fuse in the
cabin fuse panel. If excess carbon monoxide
fumes are detected, an audible beeping will sound
indicating the presence of the toxic gas. A green
light on the detector indicates that it is activated.
Always make sure the green light is on whenever
the cabin is occupied.
