DANGER
CAUTION
The door is made of acrylic plastic glass. Acrylic
glass scratches easily and can chip. Always make
sure the vinyl-covered latch is in good condition.
It should be changed whenever it shows signs
of deterioration from the exposure to elements.
Please refer to the Routine Maintenance chapter
for information on the proper care and mainte-
nance of acrylic plastic glass.
NEVER LEAVE THE CABIN DOOR UNLATCHED. THE CABIN
DOOR IS HEAVY AND SLIDES EASILY. IF THE DOOR IS LEFT
UNLATCHED, IT COULD SLIDE UNEXPECTEDLY AS THE BOAT
ROCKS, DAMAGING THE DOOR OR CAUSING AN INJURY TO A
PASSENGER. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE DOOR IS PROPERLY
LATCHED IN THE OPEN OR CLOSED POSITION.
SECURE THE DOOR WHEN CRUISING. DO NOT SIT, STAND OR
PLACE HEAVY OBJECTS ON THE DOOR.
CARBON MONOXIDE (CO) CAN CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE
OR DEATH. CARBON MONOXIDE CAN BE PRESENT IN THE
CABIN. SIGNS OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING INCLUDE
NAUSEA, HEADACHE, DIZZINESS, DROWSINESS AND LACK
OF CONSCIOUSNESS. GET FRESH AIR IF ANYONE SHOWS
SIGNS OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. GET FRESH AIR
IF CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR ALARM SOUNDS. CARBON
MONOXIDE DETECTOR MUST BE FUNCTIONING AT ALL TIMES.
11.5 Helm
Helm
The steering, engine controls, engine instruments
and switches for exterior equipment and naviga-
tion lights are located on the helm station. An area
for flush mounted electronics is located forward
of the steering and engine controls. The helm
is equipped with molded in cup holders and grab
rails. There are also MP3 and 12 volt accessory
plugs on the starboard side. Two air conditioning
ducts on each side of the helm provide cooling to
helm station whenever the air conditioning system
is operating.
Large removable access hatches in the cabin aft
berth provide access to the back of the helm for
servicing equipment and installing electronics or
other accessories. There are also fuse panels
that provide protection for equipment installed
by Everglades or other equipment added by you
or dealer.

Overhead Electronics Locker
Overhead Electronics Locker Lowered for Inside Access
Overhead Electronics Locker
An overhead electronics locker is mounted to
the hardtop above the helm. It is designed to
accommodate small flush mounted electronics
like a stereo or VHF radio. The locker is hinged
at the rear and secured in the up position with
a special stainless steel rotary draw latch on the
