DANGER
ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM LOW HANGING POWER LINES CAN
CAUSE SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH IF THEY COME IN CONTACT
WITH THE ALUMINUM FRAME FOR THE SUNSHADE AND UPPER
STATION. ALWAYS CHECK THE AREA AND MAKE THE BOAT IS
A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY FROM ANY POWER LINES BEFORE
RAISING OR LOWERING THE UPPER HELM STATION.
11.7 Weather Enclosure
Because the aluminum frames vary slightly, the
side curtains, front clear connector and drop cur-
tain are custom made to each boat at the factory.
To install the curtains, begin with the front center
connector and do one curtain at a time. Lay the
curtains on a soft surface that won’t scratch the
clear vinyl, mark the top and bottom rope filled
hems and unzip the hems from the front clear
connector. Slide the top and bottom hem into
the slide tracks at the front of the hardtop and top
of the windshield frame or on the deck. Zip the
center connector to each hem, beginning with the
top zippers. The clear connector will have to be
stretched just enough to pull out the wrinkles to
reach the zipper on the windshield or deck.
Once the center connector is completely installed,
the side curtains can be put on. Follow the same
procedure described for the front connector to at-
tach the rope filled hems. Make sure to mark the
rear hems on the side curtains that attach to rear
frame legs. Then zip the curtains to the hems on
each side of the top and to the zippers on the front
connector. Then zip the curtains to the bottom
hems. Finally, zip the rear of the side curtains to
the zippers on the rear frame legs for the hardtop.
The side curtains will have to be stretched slightly
to pull out the wrinkles and reach the zipper on
the windshield.
If you have an optional drop curtain, slide it into
the slide track on the back of the hard top and
attach it to the rear legs.
Notice:
Cold weather can make the clear vinyl ma-
terial on the curtains stiff and difficult to
stretch to the bottom zipper or snaps. This
can be particularly difficult with new canvas
that has been stored off the boat. Laying
the curtains in the sun for 30 minutes during
the heat of the day will make installing them
much easier in cold whether.
