[OUTPUT] – MIDI Transmit/Thru Select (XMT, THRU, THRU+C, MERGE)
Press the HOTKNOB button to select. Turn the Knob to select the MIDI output mode from the
following:
[XMT]
transmit H9 MIDI data without passing input data
[THRU]
pass incoming MIDI data thru the H9
[THRU+C] pass incoming MIDI data thru the H9 and also any H9 generated MIDI clock.
[MERGE] incoming MIDI data will be merged with that produced by the H9 and sent to its
output.
This is a new mode that should be viewed as experimental.
Note: if OUTPUT is set to THRU, none of the H9’s MIDI Transmit functions will be operative.
Note: in [THRU+C] and [MERGE], if [CLK.OUT] is set to [ON], incoming MIDIclock will be lost.
In these modes, Sysex messages will not pass through.
Further, Be aware that
heavy MIDI
data activity
at the input of the H9 can cause its operation to slow down.
Press the PRESETS button once to back-up one level to MIDI menu.
Press the PRESETS button twice to go to top level System menu.
[DUMP] – Dump Select (ALL, ACTIVE, PRESET, SYSTEM)
Press the HOTKNOB button to select. Turn the Knob to choose what is being backed up via
SysEx Dump or Dump Request.
ALL = All 99 Presets and System settings are dumped.
ACTIVE = Only the currently loaded Preset is dumped.
PRESET = All 99 Presets are dumped.
SYSTEM = All System Mode settings are dumped.
Press the PRESETS button once to back-up one level to MIDI menu.
Press the PRESETS button twice to go to top level System menu.
[CLK IN] – MIDI Input Clock Enable (ON, OFF)
Press the HOTKNOB button to select. Turn the Knob to set MIDI Clock Receive ON or OFF. If
ON, MIDI Clock is used as a Tempo source.
Press the PRESETS button once to back-up one level to MIDI menu.
Press the PRESETS button twice to go to top level System menu.
[CLK.OUT] – MIDI Output Clock Enable (ON, OFF)
Press the HOTKNOB button to select. Turn the Knob to set MIDI Clock Transmit ON or OFF. If
ON, the H9 will transmit its tempo as a MIDI Clock.
Press the PRESETS button once to back-up one level to MIDI menu.
Press the PRESETS button twice to go to top level System menu.
[CLK.FLT] – MIDI Clock Filter Enable (ON, OFF)
Press the HOTKNOB button to select. Turn the Knob to set MIDI Clock Filtering ON or OFF. If
ON, H9 can be used with an unstable MIDI Clock source, but will be slower and less precise at
tracking clock speed changes.
Press the PRESETS button once to back-up one level to MIDI menu.
Press the PRESETS button twice to go to top level System menu.
