Programming & Use Features
Initialization (Boot-Up)
When the RampMaster II is powered up it goes through an initialization process.
WAIT
appears on the display until the initialization is complete.
Storing a Ramp Mode Program
As you go through the Ramp Mode programming process and complete it, your program is automatically stored in the program number you selected at
the beginning of the programming process.
Recalling a Ramp Mode Program
You may choose to run a previously stored Ramp Mode program.
To Recall a Ramp Mode Program
With the display reading
IdLE
simply press the Recall Prog key one time. The display will read
USER
and some number. Use the numerical keys
to choose the correct program number and press the Enter key. The display will then go back to
IdLE
(Idle). The program data in the chosen
program is now selected to run when you start the firing.
Programming a Rate
All rates are programmed in degrees per hour. Most technical temperature data is defined in a degrees/hour format, which is good.
You may encounter
firing data that gives a temperature along with how long it should take to get there. In these cases you must convert to degrees per hour.
The RampMaster II does allow for a rate of “As Fast As Possible”. To fire “As Fast As Possible” program the rate at 9999.
Programming Time
The RampMaster II accepts time as Hours and Minutes. When programming a time value, a red dot will illuminate in the middle of the four display digits.
Numbers to the left of the dot indicate hours and numbers to the right of the dot indicate minutes.
6 Ramp Mode Programs
The RampMaster II allows the artist to save up to 6 Ramp Mode programs in memory. Your programs remain in these 6 locations indefinitely and can be
recalled or changed at any time.
8 Segments per Program
Firing programs are built using segments. The RampMaster II allows you to use up to 8 segments for each Ramp Mode firing program.
Two Key Start
The RampMaster II is designed to start the firing after two separate keys are pushed. This “Two Key Start” adds a level of security against inadvertent
starting from curious fingers.
To use the Two Key Start
To run the firing: with the display reading
IdLE
press the Start key one time. The display will show four horizontal dashes. Press the Enter key
one time. The display will briefly read
–ON–
and a series of audible clicks will be heard. The RampMaster II is now running the program.
