4.1.7. EV Ready certified connection (optional)
When an EV Ready certified connection is required, a shunt trip (for example, ABB type F2C-A2) must
be installed in the power supply cabinet.
Use cable with a wire diameter of between 1.5 and 2.5 mm

4.1.8. Implementation of VDE-AR-N 4100: 2019-04 (only for Germany)
All EVBox charging stations can be controlled directly by a distribution network operator (DSO).
Charging stations with a total rated power of more than 12 kVA must be controlled in accordance with
Technical Connection Rules VDE-AR-N 4100: 2019-04. A radio ripple control receiver enables the
charging station, which is located behind the specific DSO-controlled contactor, to be switched off
directly. The contactor must have the following technical specifications: 230 V AC, 40 A, 4 S and
nominal short-circuit current "Iq" 10 kA.
Registration with the local distribution network operator is required.
