UNPACKING AND VISUAL INSPECTIONS OF THE UNIT
First, it is necessary to point out that the machines can be supplied with different types of packaging depending on the place of installation, the
types of transport used or needs specifically expressed by the installer. Special packaging is required, and must be expressly requested, if the
machine is to be carried by sea out of commercial containers.
If in doubt as to the suitability of the packaging or its integrity, conta
ct the Manufacturer’s
Dispatch Office.
If the
“
Long distance block systems
”
accessory has been requested, remember to remove all of the securing components before making the
electrical connections.
On receipt, the units must be inspected, at least visually, to ensure compliance with the order and identify any damage caused during transport
and unloading.
Dam
age must be reported in good time, on receipt of the goods, to the Manufacturer’s Technical Assistance Office.
Insurance
cover accepts liability for visible damage if reported officially within 48 hours of receiving the goods.
In order to carry out all of the checks properly upon receipt, it is a good idea to
draw up a “check list” of the parts to be inspected in advance and tick off the entries
inspected. Besides checking the integrity of the parts (mechanical, hydraulic,
electrical, it is also a good idea to make sure that the ordered accessories are
included.
