Different objects have a different impact on the range, therefore no specific range can be
guaranteed. However, the range should be sufficient for use in a detached house.
The range can be considerably reduced by:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings and metal-framed drywalls
• Coated/double-glazed windows
• Proximity to metal and conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
• Proximity to people
• Other devices that operate on the same frequency (e.g. wireless headphones or wireless
speakers)
• Proximity to electric motors/appliances, transformers, power supplies, computers
33. Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• The product is maintenance free (apart from changing the battery). Repair or maintenance
work must be done by a technician or a specialist repair centre. There are no product
components which have to be maintained. For this reason, never open it (except for inserting/
changing the batteries, as described in these operating instructions).
• Use a dry, soft and clean cloth to clean the weather station. Do not press too hard on the
display, this may cause scratch marks or the display to malfunction; furthermore, the display
might break.
• Dust can be easily removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the outdoor sensor.
