Batteries
Battery operation is only used as an emergency power supply.
• Remove the battery compartment cover from the bottom.
• Insert 3 AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Follow the polarity signs inside the battery
compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
If after inserting the batteries nothing appears on the display, press the RESET button
on the weather station.
In order to avoid failure of the link between the weather station and the outdoor sensor,
first insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor. Then press the RESET button on the
weather station.
Immediate reception of the DCF time signal may not be possible due to atmospheric
disturbances. Reception of the DCF time signal is more likely at night.
12. Positioning
a) Outdoor sensor
• Install the outdoor sensor in an area that is in shadow all day long, such as on a wall facing
north. Direct sunlight and heat dissipation from objects will falsify temperature measurements.
• You can mount the outdoor sensor to a wall with a suitable screw or nail (neither included).
• The outdoor sensor can also be set up on a level, stable surface.
b) Weather station
• Place the weather station on a level, stable surface.
• You can mount the weather station to a wall with suitable screws or nails (neither included).
• If you insert the enclosed adapter into the hanger, the display is aligned straight when the
product is mounted to the wall. Without the adapter, the display will point slightly upwards.
