Fork Suspension
For more information on the fork of this bike - and how adjustments can be made
to its settings to improve your riding experience - see the SR Suntour Fork Manual.
Coil Spring Preload:
The "SAG" of the fork (the amount that
the suspension will compress under
the weight of the rider) can be adjusted
using the coil spring preload knob (Fig.
10) (located on the left side of the front
fork). The standard preset is "MEDIUM",
although your preferred setting will depend
on your weight and ideal riding position.
Two other settings are available:
• Turn the knob clockwise to increase
the preload (decrease "SAG").
• Turn the knob counter-clockwise to
decrease the preload (increase "SAG").
See page 10 of the SR Suntour manual for
more on this setting.
Lockout Knob:
To lock the fork suspension system in
place, turn the lockout knob (Fig. 9)
(located on the right side of the front
fork) to the "LOCK" position. This will
prevent the fork from moving up or
down,which will make pedalling more
efficient when riding uphill or riding
while standing up. Please note, the fork
will not be completely locked, and will
still have a few millimetres of leeway
to protect the suspension when riding
over rough terrain. However, it is still
important to turn the knob back to the
"OPEN" position for the majority of the
ride, and especially when riding over
challenging terrain or performing jumps.
